“Beauty and Lord Voldemort” Is Everything We Wanted And More

Our beloved Emma Watson, as the whole world as heard by now, is playing the best Disney character in the history of characters ever, Belle, in the best Disney movie in the history of movies ever, Beauty and the Beast. And if you haven’t heard, well get out from that rock you’ve been living under and you’re welcome for telling you! Beauty and the Beast released their latest trailer about two weeks ago and it was the most beautiful thing ever. I might have watched it 50 times and teared up 15 times. Don’t judge me.

ANYWAYS, that was the greatest thing ever for a good week and a half but then Pistol Shrimps came out with something truly special. Something combining our loving Emma Watson in her new role “Belle” and our FAVORITE movie series Harry Potter. Something magical. It was… dun dun… Beauty and Lord Voldemort! Pistol Shrimps took the fact that Emma Watson is the lead in Beauty and the Beast and decided to mash that world and the world of Harry Potter together. They edited a love story between Belle (Emma Watson) and the Dark Lord that might sound weird but is truly special to watch.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. Hermione would never fall in love with He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. He has no nose and what not… But that’s the thing, this isn’t Hermione, this is Belle and Lord Voldemort. And Belle would definitely fall in love with no nose Voldemort. This video combines the magic of Harry Potter and love of Beauty and the Beast. The opening scene is Hogwarts and the music from Beauty and the Beast so you know shit’s about to get real.

And let me just say that the video editing in this is stupendous. If you were kind of, I don’t want to say stupid but, unintelligent and didn’t know what neither Harry Potter nor Beauty and the Beast was, you probably would think this video was an actual trailer for an actual movie because of how perfect the editing is. I mean, they even have little Tom Riddle and the infamous scratched portrait from Beauty and the Beast TOGETHER! I mean, come on… Bravo Pistol Shrimps!

Okay, it is a little bit weird seeing the girl who’s played Hermione for 10 straight years act as another character because we’ll always see her as Hermione, at least those of us who eat, sleep, and breathe Harry Potter like me. But to actually have Voldemort in a video with her… that’s torture! And I mean, yes, it is a little weird for us to see her “falling in love” with the Dark Lord but at least we can see her in her natural habitat, the magical world! Because that’s definitely what this video does. Instead of swords and horses, we have wands and hippogriffs. What could be better? All we need left is Ron to come out screaming, “Get away from her!” and Belle commenting back “Who are you?” because you know, she’s Belle… Not Hermione…

  1. Now, as you’re probably aware, I know little to absolutely nothing about Harry Potter. It may not also be shocking that my Disney knowledge is very limited. However, there is an appreciation for the way that this post was written. Even though I know nothing about the two films, I was able to understand the post to a certain extent. It is a good medium to where people with zero knowledge (like myself) can understand the importance of this post and to where knowledgeable fans can appreciate the opinions that make this post everything they “wanted and more”. Good job.
